Fun Facts
A big passion of mine is art and music. I love to dance and connect with music on a personal level. I enjoy producing hip hop beats and writing lyrics to songs as a form of self expression. I really enjoy sports, particularly basketball, soccer, and football. I was born and raised in Los Angeles so i'm always interested in giving back to the community.
About Me
I originally attended UC San Diego for my undergraduate education and then transferred to Cal State LA for the end of my undergraduate education to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Communicative Disorders. After finishing undergraduate studies, I attended the University of Southern California (USC) to complete my Postbaccalaureate Premedical program to prepare myself for application to medical school.
Experience
I began tutoring students in high school through the National Honor Society and for the high school exit exam. I continued to tutor students in college during my undergraduate studies at Cal State LA. The bulk of my tutoring experience came during my time at USC as I tutored other Postbacc students in many of the sciences and math. Tutoring has been a rewarding experience because the students are very willing to learn and are very grateful once they have seen the positive impact.
Approach
When I first started college at UC San Diego, I had a difficult time in Chemistry and other challenging science classes. I remember feeling anxious and not confident about my abilities in class. I'll never forget that feeling and this is one of the main reasons I enjoy tutoring, because I know exactly how it feels to be lost in difficult material and how refreshing it feels to finally master the material that was once so challenging.
