One passion people quickly learn about me is that I love to dance! I have been dancing since I was 3 years old and it quickly became a vital part of my life. I like to dance to help me study and you will often see me dancing while I cook and sometimes out in public. I am an only child but I have sorority sisters who are like family to me. About Me

I am a graduating senior at The University of Texas at Austin. I am majoring in elementary education in hopes to become a teacher. When I graduate, I will be continuing my education, at UT, and obtain my Masters in Educational Psychology to become a school counselor. I have a passion for helping kids see their own potential and pushing them to go for it! I am currently a co-leader in a dance organization on campus as well as a co-founder in a non-profit organization. My future goal is to open another non-profit for young girls who have lost a parent while mentoring them to walk into their purpose as young women.

Experience

All throughout high school I have had experience austin">tutoring and mentoring kids in the subject they need help with. My senior year of high school, I was an after school teaching assistant where I aided the teacher in lesson plans for the students as well as spent one-on-one time preparing them for the next grade level. Approach

I have always loved school and education. I have a strong background of educators and principals in my family and my parents always raised me to become the educated woman I am today. Though my story did not begin that way. Even though I loved school, I still struggled. I had the lack of motivation and desire to learn because I wasn't interested nor was I engaged and I lacked the confidence in myself.
