Fun Facts

I learned Spanish while living in Ecuador for a year. I had previously never taken a Spanish class, but I learned so much while I lived there, and I have been pursuing Spanish classes and speaking opportunities ever since.

About Me

I am currently a graduate student earning my Master's degree in Social Work. My Bachelor's degree is in English and Secondary Education, and I have a lot of experience working with underserved populations, as a chicago">tutor, teacher, and now as a social worker.

Experience

I have had a wide range of experiences which have prepared me to be an excellent chicago">tutor. While in college, I worked with at-risk high school students during the summer for my college's chapter of Upward Bound's summer program. Furthermore, I was a writing consultant for two and a half years at The College of St. Scholastica in Northern Minnesota. Both of these experiences helped me hone my skills working one-on-one with people of varying backgrounds and experience levels.

Approach

I like to make sure my tutees feel comfortable before we start each session. I believe people learn best when they feel empowered by the learning process, and I aim to be a support in that process. I believe everyone has the potential to do well and achieve their goals, and hope to help others realize their own potential and abilities through our chicago">tutoring sessions.
