Fun Facts

I like to read physics books in my spare time. These are not textbooks, but something like Stephen Hawking's "A Brief History of Time." I'm currently interested in everything Richard Feynmann has to say about physics.

I've never been on a plane and have never been on vacation before.

I'm the youngest of three brothers.

My family is Chinese/Vietnamese.

One day, I want to become a professor in Chemistry and conduct my own research.

About Me

Learning is one of the things I love most. Extrapolating this to next stage I found a niche in research and teaching because the combination allows me to continue beyond the basic knowledge of courses and then share what I have discovered. Beyond undergraduate Chemistry I plan to enter graduate school for a Ph.D in Chemistry with the intention of becoming a professor investigating alternate energy sources using quantum mechanics.

The experience I cherish most is boston">tutoring four younger cousins who recently emigrated from Vietnam. I worked with my cousins four days a week for several hours each day and by the end of the year they gained the confidence in themselves to conquer all subjects, even English. What had worked best for them was finding a model to remind them that nothing worth having does not come without hard work.

I consider myself a very logical and rational person which explains my natural inclination towards the physical sciences and mathematics. Therefore, based on that attribute the ideal boston">tutoring approach for me is to teach lessons based on rational steps.
