Fun Facts
I am very passionate about science and its impact on the community at large. Most of my free time is spent researching science topics, playing sports and exercising. I play golf, hockey and softball. I am animal lover with two dogs.
About Me
I am a Masters student in the physics and astronomy program at Northwestern University. I studied Materials Science and Engineering and Engineering Physics at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. My goal is to move into a career within the physics area, focusing in astrophysics and cosmology. I am also interested in the teaching of all levels of physics.
Experience
In between my undergraduate and current graduate program, I was an engineer and supervisor at a nickel alloy manufacturing plant. While there, I supervised 50 union members working towards producing $150 million worth of tubes for critical industries. In college, I was the treasurer for my fraternity and a founding member of Illinois' 3D printing club. I was a chicago">tutor for math and sciences in high school, along with informally chicago">tutoring many friends in science and mathematics at Illinois.
Approach
I believe that everyone should have a strong base in mathematics and sciences. Educating young people in these subjects is a foremost interest of mine. No two students are alike. Each student requires specific attention in certain areas, and tailored explanations designed for each students learning abilities. I believe a chicago">tutor needs to know each pupil and understand their specific interests. This way, the chicago">tutor can prepare lessons to the tune of each students interests and abilities.
