Outside of school, I enjoy running, pilates, and doing crafts. I have 9 siblings. I also have 7 nieces and nephews all under the age of 6!

About Me

I am a Junior at Santa Clara University. My major is Liberal Studies, with an emphasis on Pre-Teaching. Following graduation, I intend on working towards my credentials as well as a Masters in Education. One day I hope to participate in Teach for America.

As a part of my studies at Santa Clara University, I have volunteered in both Elementary and Middle School classrooms. I have also volunteered in a visually impaired classroom several times a quarter with my sorority, Delta Gamma. The classes that I have taken at Santa Clara University have provided me with the knowledge needed to work with students of many different learning styles.

I hope to inspire my students to reach their fullest potential. As a tutor, I think it is essential to challenge students but to never discourage them. In order to accomplish this, I intend on individualizing each lesson plan to best suit the student's needs. I will try to present information to students in a way that the student will best understand it. I think it is important to be as authentic with students as possible and create a relationship based on trust.
