Fun Facts
I am a super word nerd! I love crossword puzzles, word games, and fun word origin stories, and I might tell you a tale or two when we meet. I have an ever-growing book collection of over 700 titles. I love to do arts and crafts of all sorts, and am fairly adept at acrylic painting and drawing. I am a big fan of all manner of DIY projects ranging from home improvement to electronics repair. AND I am an actress on the side (background work mostly), and have worked in many TV & film productions
About Me
I graduated as both a Humanities Scholar and honors student from maryland">University of Maryland, maryland/baltimore">Baltimore County in 2002 with a BA in English Language and Literature and a minor in Creative Writing. I have worked a variety of jobs in the many years since graduation, but maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutoring has always been my passion and is currently my primary focus. I am currently working towards obtaining Dysgraphia Education certification and TESOL certification to further enhance my teaching repertoire.
Experience
I started my maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutoring career in high school where I helped my peers in math subjects such as Algebra and Geometry. While attending university as a Humanities Scholar, I began maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutoring English grammar and writing in the Writing Center and to student athletes and earned certification as a Level II Writing maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">Tutor from the College Reading and Learning Association. I currently maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutor all ages from elementary school to adults in both math and language arts and love every minute of it!
Approach
I bring a great deal of personal enthusiasm with me to each session because I think that excitement is contagious, and I think that students are more inclined to learn and want to learn in a fun and encouraging environment. I work closely with all of my students to find out exactly what their needs and goals are and how we can best achieve those results together. I will not do the work for you, but I will lavish you with praise when you can do it for yourself!

I scored a 5/5 on my own AP English exam.
History Tutoring
I am extremely knowledgeable about U.S. and World History and current events. My degree is in English Language and Literature, which is closely tied to history and further deepens my understanding of historical events. I scored a 5/5 on my AP U.S. History, Government, & Politics exam and have always excelled in all of my history classes.
Math Tutoring

I am well versed in Catholicism and Christianity, but I also have some understanding of most other religions of the world, everything from Paganism to Judaism to Shintoism and more.
