Fun Facts
I really like to learn new things. Other than Math and Science, I like listening to music, watching movies/series, sports, history, cars, video games, etc. I am very passionate about the things I like. For example, I started watching the series "Game of Thrones" in the summer break. I liked it so much, I watched the whole 5 seasons in 6 days.
About Me
I am a senior Mechanical Engineering major at The City College of New York. I have been on the dean's list and have gotten good grades in all of the subjects I tutor. When I graduate, I will specialize in Nuclear Engineering and hopefully get the higher level of education I can get.
Experience
Tutoring has been my first and only job. I have been working as a Science and Math tutor in the Hostos Academic Learning Center (HALC) for over 3 years. Before that, I worked as a grammar tutor for the CUNY Language Immersion Program (CLIP) for over 1 year. Overall, I have a little more than 4 years of tutoring experience. I have done 1 on 1 and group tutoring. I have also done private tutoring with elementary and middle school children.
Approach
The main reason why students struggle with Math and Science is because they lack good study skills. A lot of them just want to memorize problems and don't give importance to rules and theories. I always emphasize learning the rules and theories first before even trying to look at the problems. If you know the rules, you can solve any problem. You have to understand what you are doing first. As somebody once said, "you can always forget facts, but you can never forget understanding".

Chemistry I Tutoring
This is the class that I have tutored the most and feel more comfortable tutoring. I got an A on it. I pretty much remember everything.
Chemistry II Tutoring
I got A- on this class. I also have plenty of experience tutoring this subject.
College Algebra Tutoring
I got an A on this class. Algebra is pretty much involved on every one of my Engineering classes. I feel pretty comfortable tutoring this subject.
Math Tutoring
I have gotten A- or A in every math class I have taken. Math is pretty much all we engineering majors do.
Physics I Tutoring
Physics is difficult. We all know it. I got B+ on this class. However, after tutoring it and getting As on applied physics classes I can say I feel very comfortable tutoring it.
Pre Calculus Tutoring
Got an A on this class. I have plenty of experience tutoring it. I have also used it in a number of my classes.
Study Skills Tutoring
Every one needs good study skills. Mines have gotten me to my senior year. I would love to share them.
Algebra Tutoring
I got an A on this class. Algebra is pretty much involved on every one of my Engineering classes. I feel pretty comfortable tutoring this subject.
