Fun Facts
I'm a relatively tall 6'1 guy and I love playing sports. I used to be on the handball team but ever since high school ended, I started playing basketball and volleyball more. I don't have a lot of time to play sports though because most of the time, I am on the computer coding websites/apps or doing schoolwork. I've always wanted to learn how to dance (hip hop) and only know how to do a few break dance moves.
About Me
I am a sophomore at NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering. I have a 3.0 GPA and in the future, I hope to be employed at a big company where my name is widely known. I want to leave my mark in this life and have a "legacy" that I can leave behind after completing a huge accomplishment in the advancement of technology.
Experience
In the 9th and 10th grade, I volunteered at a public school in the summer as a teacher's assistant. I helped mentor a group of first graders in math and reading-comprehension/new-york/new-york">reading comprehension to complete their daily workbook activities. They improved their academics and it was an enjoyable experience for me. In college, several friends of mine struggle in science/new-york/new-york">computer science courses and often refer to me. I usually spend an hour or more to explain how to complete their coursework and the concepts behind them.
Approach
As someone who has been to summer school and afterschool from 1st to 7th grade, I realized how much of a difference the additional prep from teachers made to my academic grades. Not only did they improve my scores and clarify any confusions I had, they allowed me to keep my high grades constant. Using many of the teaching techniques that I found to be effective for me, I hope to pass down as much knowledge as I can to other students in need of help here at Frog Tutoring.

Algebra Tutoring
As a student who has taken math courses beyond Algebra and excelled in them, I am confident that I will be able to teach and allow students to master the concepts of Algebra. I received high marks of 85+ on all exams for Algebra in middle school and can provide the same or better for potential clients.

In middle school, I received high marks on all math exams and it proved to be my strongest subject. All of my grades were above an 85 and now I have experience beyond middle school. After taking advanced math classes such as Calculus and Discrete Math, I am confident that I will be able to improve student grades in math.

As a student in NYU, I am confident that I will be able to teach elementary math to students in elementary school. I have mentored elementary students in the past to help improve their arithmetic skills and can do the same for any potential clients.
Computer Science Tutoring
In my high school, I was part of the software engineer major in Brooklyn Technical High School. Since then, I have accumulated a vast amount of knowledge on languages such as HTML, Javascript, Java, PHP, C++, Python and more. I received a 4 on my AP Computer Science exam and have interned at companies with positions relating to Computer Science. Now that I am in NYU Poly, I am continuing to pursue a career in Computer Science by receiving both a Bachelors and Masters Degree in computer science through a BSMS program.
HTML Tutoring
After learning HTML from a web development course in high school, this knowledge has been retained and used countless times to create from simple webpages to advanced complex ones. This is a simple language that I can easily teach to anyone interested in developing websites.
Javascript Tutoring
After taking a web development course in high school, I learned Javascript and have used it for projects of my own and at companies that I have interned for. Learning Javascript is extremely helpful when creating websites and I can easily teach anyone who is looking to perform back end tasks on a website using Javascript.
Microsoft PowerPoint Tutoring
Microsoft Powerpoint is a fairly easy tool to use and can definitely be taught to anyone who is looking to make impressive slides for presentations. I am confident that I can make it so that it will not take long to master Microsoft Powerpoint as a skill and creating great presentations will become common sense.
Microsoft Windows Tutoring
If there are any issues with Microsoft Windows, I can direct students on how to solve them and can explain any questions that students may have.

Microsoft Word is a fairly easy tool to use and can definitely be taught to anyone who is looking to make documents for any task. I am confident that I can make it so that it will not take long to master Microsoft Word as a skill and creating documents that are essential to the user will become simple common knowledge.
PHP Tutoring
After taking a web development course in high school, I learned PHP and have used it for projects of my own and at companies that I have interned for. Learning PHP is extremely helpful when creating websites and I can easily teach anyone who is looking to perform server side tasks in PHP. It is extremely helpful when using a database for a website as well and can prove to be a useful skill for students who are looking for web development jobs.
