Fun Facts
Originally from San Diego, I currently live in New York. I have a passion for romantic comedies and Mexican food and am still searching for the Holy Grail (that perfect plate of pollo asado fries in Manhattan). I enjoy art history and am currently learning how to cook, so in my spare time I can be found at either the Met or perusing the aisles of Trader Joe's.
About Me
I am majoring in economics and minoring in mathematics at NYU. Currently, I am interning at a social media start up and hope to pursue my MBA after earning my bachelor's degree. In the future, I hope to work in either New York in the business sector.
In high school, I served on the California Nevada Hawaii Key Club district board as a lieutenant governor, as captain of my school's Academic Team, and as the president of math manhattan">tutoring club. I worked with kids after school twice a week for four years in order to improve their grades. I also organized a group of thirty other manhattan">tutors and maintained communication with the math department.
My manhattan">tutoring approach is simple: I allow the students to work at whatever pace is comfortable for them so that they have fully mastered each concept before we move on to the next topic. I ask them to attempt the problems independently at first so that we can pinpoint where the gaps in their knowledge are and review each individual step and idea. This way, we can ensure that the students have no weaknesses in their foundations as each topic in math builds upon the previous.
