Fun Facts

I'm from Hawai'i and love spending my time outdoors swimming, hiking, running, kayaking, snorkeling, or surfing. I also love movies and spend those rainy, washington/seattle">Seattle days hiding out in the movie theater. I enjoy traveling and have lived in Taiwan, South Korea, and England.

About Me

I graduated in 2006 from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon with a B.A. in Biology. I've worked with children most of my life and currently enjoy a job as an educator at the zoo. I am working toward my M.A.T. in Elementary School Education and hope to continue working with children for the rest of my career.

In sixth grade, I worked as a computer skills washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutor. I've been hooked on washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutoring ever since that job, and have tutored elementary school and middle school aged children for the past 16 years. Working and training with Frog washington/washington/seattle">seattle">Tutoring is a great opportunity for me to continue to improve my skills as a washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutor.

In large classrooms, teachers aren't always able to present lessons in a way that accommodates each student's learning style. As a washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutor, I love the challenge of tailoring a lesson plan to fit the student's unique set of skills and struggles. Learning can be fun! I like to make sure to incorporate a variety of tools including worksheets, games, quizzes, and more.
