I love to sing, play guitar, act, write, and of course read. I even tried out for America's Got Talent one year in Orlando, Florida. i am auditioning to sing this year in December for Ameerica's Got Talent.

About Me

My strong point is being able to find the student's natural ability, show them how to tap into it, and use it to achieve their highest capabilities. Many times students are discouraged about learning, and I help restore their joy of learning.

I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, from Trinity International University with a 3.7 GPA. I am certified as a professional Elementary Ed (K-6) teacher, Drama teacher (6-12), and a school media specialist with the FL Dept of Education.

Experience

I have been teaching and tutoring since I graduated high school in the late 70’s. I love reading and working with children and adults alike. I taught drama and tutored students while I also did some performing in New York City for 25 years. Then I relocated to Miami, FL. I am extremely patient with my students and work to find out how they process learning, and what makes them like to learn. I assist with their deficiencies, helping them find their strengths and gain their confidence back.

Approach

My specialty is bringing out a student’s highest potential by working with them to reinforce their strengths, and to assist them in finding a way to turn around the areas they are not as strong in. We work together as a team to get those grades up, to pass those tests, and to learn how to overcome any obstacles a student might be struggling with. I understand a child's fears with learning, and work through them with compassion and encouragement
