Fun Facts
One of my favorite things to do is dance, since I was three years old I have done ballet and jazz and I competitively danced throughout high school. One of my favorite memories from high school dance was winning nationals my senior year. In my spare time I also enjoy baking and doing craft projects, especially “do it yourself” projects. One day I hope to take cooking lessons.
About Me
I just graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics. In the fall I will start a graduate program in math at the riverside">riverside">University of California, riverside">Riverside. My goal after that is to become a professor.
While I was at LMU I had the opportunity to tutor a high school student in math. I really enjoy encouraging and helping students reach their full potential and exceed in their academic studies. Frog Tutoring provides me with the opportunity to continue impacting the lives students.
Growing up math was always my favorite subject and I love the thrill of learning something new. However, I know math is not most people favorite subject and this is why I want the opportunity to show students that math can be fun when you understand and are engaged in the subject matter. As a tutor, I want to first learn what frustrates each student, and then help him or her understand that they can move past those frustrations through understanding the subject. One way to think of math is to compare it to a sport. In a sport an athlete must learn skills, practice those skills and then show their skills in a match or game. Math is the same way, students first learn a topic, then through homework and exercises a student practices that topic, and lastly a student shows their knowledge on a test or quiz. Using this comparison I hope to inspire students to excel in their math studies.
