Fun Facts

I love sports. All sports. I worked for a while as a writer for a soccer website focusing on the English Premier League. Other than soccer, I also love football, basketball, baseball, golf, etc. I lived in Argentina when I was younger and that is where my love for Futbol (soccer) grew the most.

About Me

I currently work at a telecom company as an IT Risk Adviser. I graduated in 2012 with my degree in Accounting with minors in Information Systems and Spanish. I am currently working on my Masters Degree in Information Systems at the University of Arizona.

Experience

I grew up in Southern Arizona around many Spanish speakers. I learned a little bit of Spanish but it wasn't until I moved to Argentina that I gained fluency in the language. I lived in Argentina for a few years and absolutely love Spanish and Latin culture. In the years since returning I have tutored students of all ages from kids to adults at all different levels of Spanish.

Approach

As a native English speaker, I know what it takes to learn another language. Learning Spanish was one of the most difficult things I've ever done. For me it was not only about learning the vocabulary and the conjugations, I wanted to speak identical to the natives. I worked for hours and hours on pronunciation. I am passionate about Spanish and love to share that passion with others. Learning a new language is never easy, but I try and help my students find the same love for the language I have.
