Fun Facts
I love to travel! Whether I am traveling for educational proposes or just simply getting out of the house, you can find me out and about. I also love soccer very much! Being the only girl with three brothers I have been fortunate to be able to play soccer for most of my life. I hope to someday watch FCBarcelona compete against Real Madrid live! Only in Spain of course.
About Me
I am a freshman hoping to major in ESL teaching with a minor in Arabic at South Seattle College. After my two years of community college I hope to attend Central Washington University to complete my BA then to the University of Portland to finish my MA in teaching. My ultimate goal is to become an English teacher abroad then after 20 or 30 years move back to the states to work for the governments Central Intelligence Agency or become a translator for the UN.
Experience
As a student abroad I've been able to really understand the feeling of a "language barrier." It becomes very difficult of wan to pursue a new language because it can be intimidating or just very changeling. But I have been to help my fellow Moroccan students and friends learn English. In terms of my Spanish, I used to do a lot of translating work when I was younger. I also sat down after school and helped my peers in high school with their Spanish homework, it is was ever too difficult for them.
Approach
As a child, school wasn't always something I looked forward to but as time went on I was blessed to be given amazing tutors and teachers that gave me a desire to learn more. The teachers that were put in my path were always great role models, passionate, persistent, and overall my biggest mentors and supporters of everything I did. As a tutor, I can only hope to give half of what my teachers gave me. I vow to helping unconditionally and be there as a supporter, a fan, a mentor, and friend.

EnrolledChemistry Tutoring
When I got to take Chemistry in my Junior year I fell in love. It easily became my favorite subject and I was strong in this. I believe it was because I was willing to mess up and ask questions. I passed with and A and had a lot of fun learning more in this class.
Homework Coach Tutoring
Everyone needs help with homework, especially in high school. We have other stuff going on but it is very important that we prioritize out homework and study. I have been able to help a lot of my peers stay on top of their grades because I will not let up on them having their homework done.
Science Tutoring
Science to me is that one subject that you can mess up time and time again but each time you do, you learn something new. I always had amazing grades in my Science classes because, even though it was a lot of information it made me excited to learn.
Spanish I Tutoring
Beginning Spanish is not difficult for me, Spanish being my first language. I want to be able to make beginning Spanish more fun to the learner by including culture to the language. Listen to songs, watch Spanish news and enjoy new Latino and Hispanic foods.
Spanish II Tutoring
Spanish two is when the student becomes more serious with their learning. They are taught basic conjugation, they are expected to speak more Spanish rather than English. I like this level because you can find if the passion is there or if its not.
Spanish III Tutoring
I took a Spanish three class in my freshmen year of high school, and being a native speaker it was great to see the other students wanting to learn! I helped a lot of them with their homework or if they just wanted to have a conversation I was able to be that tool for them to use. My teacher loved having me be there to break down dialects and more cultural aspects of the Spanish language.
Study Skills Tutoring
Studying. Its the one thing we have to do that we don't actually end up doing, or taking seriously. I plan to bring a new way of studying. A way that involves the material coming to life, hands on studying. I can accommodate to every type of learner but if I see that the studying is becoming boring, don't worry, we will shake it up.
English Tutoring
When I was in Middle School English was one of my best subjects. I never got a grade below a B. I was an avid learner as well, if something confused me I simply asked for help.
History Tutoring
History has always been my favorite subject in school. I loved taking history outside of the class, making it come alive. This was my secret to maintaining good grades in my history class.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
When I was in elementary I was given a reading tutor because of my little knowledge of English. From this woman I learned more than I ever would have thought. Many of the the skills she used with me are the same skills I use when teaching a language.
Spanish Tutoring
I was born in California to two Mexican parents and spoke and heard nothing but Spanish. I moved to Washington when I was three but was still around a lot of Spanish language and culture. My Spanish isn't Spain perfect but it is Native.
Writing Tutoring
I have always been a strong writer, thanks to my amazing teachers. Essays are my favorite things to write. I've learned a lot during my high school years about what it means to have a great paper. With these skills I am able to identify where a student is struggling.
