Fun Facts
I am fond of swimming. I was on a swim team in middle school. We practiced every weekend. Upon entering high school, things were getting busy, but I still kept practicing every week especially during summer vocation. I also like calligraphy. The reason why I started to learn calligraphy is that my mother is a calligrapher. I saw her practicing calligraphy and reading the history of calligraphy everyday since I was a child. Finally I became increasingly interested in the calligrapher as well.
About Me
I am from China. I am a senior Financial Math major at Ohio State University. I also minor in Computer Information System, Statistics and Economics. I have been on the Dean's list for 7 terms. Financial Mathematics is my dream major as a graduation program. My career goal is to become a risk management analyst.
Experience
I once volunteered to teach elementary students math in China. I prepared the study material before each class. I am patient to interact with others and I am also a good listener. I also once took an internship in Yongan Future that is the most influential and pioneering Future Security companies in China. I was responsibility to collect and analyze the data for agricultural-products futures. I have developed all-round skills especially in interpersonal communication and team cooperation.
Approach
As a student majoring in mathematics, I am also always stuck in some math problems.Except the help from professors and teaching assistants, the tutors are good resources that we can ask for help. I could better get the point of what the student questions since I probably stuck in the same problem before as a student. A tutor should be both an advisor-giver and a listener. I also believe the patience and cooperation make a good math tutor.

Financial Math
Calculus I Tutoring
The subject is about differential and integral calculus of one real variable. My grade is A for this course. I tend to solve problem by drawing some graphs,which can be easy to understand. Also, I can solve one problem with different methods.

The subject is about Integral calculus, sequences and series, parametric curves, polar coordinates. My grade is A for this course. I tend to solve problem by drawing some graphs,which can be easy to understand. Also, I can solve one problem with different methods.

I am from China. My first language is Chinese. I can speak standard mandarin fluently.
Computer Programming Tutoring
I have basic knowledge of Java. I got A for this course. The course involved lots of lab practice problems and projects. The course is more like self-learning course. We need to follow the instructions provided in the lab to finish a project by our own means. So I am prepared myself with solid programming ability in elementary Java.
Economics Tutoring
I have taken Intermediate Macroeconomic Theory(grade A). The subject is about the analysis of the determinants of national output on the income & employment levels and theory of economic growth and progressive equilibrium in an economy. I am good at making diagrams according to the situation in the problems and analyze them.
Elementary Statistics Tutoring
I have taken the Intermediate Data Analysis I and got grade A for this course. The course covers descriptive statistics, design of experiments, probability, statistical inference, one-sample t, goodness of fit, two sample problem, and one-way ANOVA. I am good at using software R to do the Data Analysis.
Micro-Economics Tutoring
The subject is: Introduction to economic theory: supply and demand for goods, services, and factor inputs; market structure; international trade, the distribution of income.
I got grade A for this course. I am good at analyzing the diagrams and models.
Pre Calculus Tutoring
The subject covers the functions and applications of polynomial, rational, radical, exponential, logarithmic, trigonometric, and inverse trigonometric. I got grade A for this course. I like to solve problems by combining graphs, which will be helpful to understand the problems. Also, I always try to solve one problem by different methods.
