I am an avid runner and recently completed the Austin Livestrong Half Marathon! I enjoy cooking and trying new foods as well as baking. I love country music and exploring the city of Austin!

About Me

I am a senior at the University of Texas at Austin studying Elementary Education. I have made the Dean's list every year at UT, and will be graduating in December 2013 with honors. After graduation, I plan to pursue a career in Elementary Education in the Houston area.

As an Elementary Education Major, I have had many volunteer austin">tutoring opportunities in Austin which I have enjoyed. I tutored math-elementary/texas/austin">elementary math through the VICTORY Tutorial Program at a local library, and elementary reading and comprehension through the HOSTS Program at Metz Elementary. I also have mentoring experience with students at Harris Elementary. I am excited about working with Frog austin">Tutoring clients because I am passionate about educating students and creating a love of learning within children.

Growing up, I found that the teachers I learned most from were those I was comfortable with, and those who challenged me. I believe that challenging students at an appropriate level can foster confidence and ambition. This is key as elementary students have so much learning in front of them. I bring a positive attitude and a prepared lesson to each austin">tutoring session in order to guide students in the right direction both mentally and emotionally.
