Fun Facts
Once people get to know me, they learn about my passion to help others. I may not be the best at it, but I love helping people learn how to dance, play soccer, and recite poetry. I was borned in Weslaco Texas, but I spent all my childhood in Mexico. I love pets, specially dogs that like to be taken for a walk at the park, where I read my books to sharpen my skills.
About Me
I graduated from houston">University of Houston in 2010 with a Bachelors in Mathematics and a Bachelors in Hotel and Restaurant Management. Fall of 2012 marks my first semester at houston-clear-lake">houston">University of Houston Clear Lake, where I will be pursuing a Masters degree in Cross-Cultural Studies. My ultime goal is to become a college professor and be able to teach Mathematics as well as Latin Cultures.
As a member of Phi Theta Kappa, the International Honor Society for the two year colleges, I was given the opportunity to volunteer as a Mathematics houston">Tutor in 2004. Once they notice my love for the subject, I was hired by Houston Community College Southeast as a houston">Tutor back in 2005. Once I received my Bachelors degree, I was given the opportunity to teach Developmental Mathematics at the same campus. Now I am not only a houston">tutor and teacher, but I am also a mentor to all my students.
Learning a subject by yourself is not easy. As a child, I was never given the opportunity to work with a houston">tutor, so I always had to study by myself, and most of the time I felt like I had waisted my time. As a houston">tutor, I have realized that we all learn differently and at different levels. I always make sure that my students learn that when you have a passion and you love what you do, everything is better. I love having fun while we both learn from making mistakes and correcting them. Once my students reach the level where they are having fun while learning, I then know that success is their next goal. I hope to never stop houston">tutoring and mentoring students.
