About Me

I am currently a senior at maryland/columbia">columbia">maryland/columbia">columbia-university">maryland/columbia">columbia">maryland/columbia">Columbia University as an applied physics major. I took two years off to do heavy ion fusion research at the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory, where I published my first technical paper. I hope to make a career out of plasma physics research.

As for my manhattan">tutoring experience, I worked in the maryland/columbia">columbia">maryland/columbia">Columbia Math Helproom for a semester and frequented there in my spare time; I have worked closely with many of my peers in mathematics and physics until they attained the same level of mastery I enjoy; I have conducted professional research at physics institutions; I have corrected mathematics in my physics professors' work and helped them understand their mistakes. Recently, I have been manhattan">tutoring more on the high school level.

I have a holistic approach to manhattan">tutoring. Me and my friends at maryland/columbia">columbia">maryland/columbia">Columbia constantly philosophize about various strategies to increase studying productivity and to learn things better and more efficiently. I always ensure that my students are comfortable with the basics. In mathematics and physics, basic concepts are built upon in order to develop more advanced concepts and are therefore crucial to success. In this spirit, I have a slightly more laissez-faire manhattan">tutoring style that encourages students to solve problems their own way in order to develop a comfortable and personal relationship with the material. I also encourage students to think for a little bit when they are stuck before I help them. Ultimately, a student will only be successful if they internalize the material themselves, which can only be done through practice and critical thinking.
