I am so passionate about teaching. I also love to travel. I have been to Dubai, Canada and to many states in the US. I would love to teach all around the world especially in countries that are need of more educators. When I have free time, I like to visit the zoo. I enjoy new experiences and exploring new things. I am very energetic and creative. My extra hobbies include being artistic with make up and fashion. I enjoy collect magazines for inspiration for teaching fashion, beauty, drawing, etc

About Me

Hello,
My name is Ikram. I am currently a college student at the University of Houston. I am majoring in Education (Science 4-8 Concentration). I love mentoring and teaching children of all ages. I am graduating December 2015 with Honors. I am extremely excited to accomplish one goal but have many more to come! I am passionate about teaching and learning. I also enjoy working out, traveling and volunteering at refugee programs. I will be pursing my Masters degree in Education in January 2016.

Experience

I have been teaching for almost two years now. I have experience working with elementary and middle school students. I also volunteer at the YMCA with the after school program for the past 6 months. I have experience working with different types of students from different backgrounds. I also have two years of experience with tutoring elementary students. I am great at adjusting ways for students to learn and be engaged while learning. I plan on continuing to grow and learn from my students.

Approach

From a very young age, I enjoyed reading and learning. When I got to middle school,I realized I had the gift of being a great teacher. I used to be ahead of my class and help tutor my classmates. I continued using my skills and decided to pursue my career as a teacher. As an educator, I am aware that all student learn different ways and I present content in different ways for personalized learning. This has always worked because I take into consideration student's learning profiles.
