Fun Facts
I recently moved to St. Louis from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. I moved to the area to attend graduate school and I am enjoying my time, and the BBQ, here so far! Some of my hobbies include exercising, playing my guitar, and spending time with my friends.
About Me
I am a recent graduate with a B.S. in mathematics from Bucknell University where I graduated with the Pi Mu Epsilon Society award (mathematics department award). I am currently a Ph.D. student in mathematics at Washington University in St. Louis. My plan is to graduate with my doctorate and teach math at a liberal arts college.
Experience
During my undergraduate education at Bucknell, I led nightly calculus drop-in tutoring sessions. I also tutored calculus, precalculus, differential equations, trigonometry, college algebra, geometry, and linear algebra in one-on-one settings throughout my high school and undergraduate careers. Even as an RA at Bucknell, I held weekly math tutoring sessions in the dorms!
Approach
When I developed a passion for learning about mathematics, I also became passionate about teaching math. I have worked with students of various backgrounds and levels of ability over the past 6 years. From this experience, I have learned to explain the material that students need to learn in a unique way that different students can each individually understand. I believe that in this way, students can gain intuition of the material and develop an appreciation for the subject matter.

Calculus I Tutoring
Calculus I is my favorite class to teach. I tutored this material for six semesters as an undergraduate drop-in help session leader. I also tutored 4 students individually in calculus I.
Calculus 2 Tutoring
Calculus II was my favorite class to take as an undergraduate student. I tutored this material for six semesters as an undergraduate drop-in help session leader. I also tutored 2 students (and many peers) individually in calculus II.
Calculus 3 Tutoring
I got an A in Calculus III at Bucknell. I am currently seeing much of this material reappear in some of my graduate courses, so I am very comfortable with tutoring it.
College Algebra Tutoring
The material in college algebra is the foundation to all higher level mathematics. When teaching college algebra, I motivate each concept so that students see its importance and gain an intuition. The concepts in this course should eventually become second nature.
Math Tutoring
I am a Ph.D. student in mathematics at Washington University in St. Louis and I have a B.S. in mathematics from Bucknell University. I have 6 years of math tutoring experience.
Math Advance Tutoring
I am a Ph.D. student in mathematics at Washington University in St. Louis and I have a B.S. in mathematics from Bucknell University. I have 6 years of math tutoring experience.
Pre Calculus Tutoring
The material in precalculus is largely revisited in calculus I, calculus II, calculus III, and linear algebra -- all of which I tutored for 3 years. I also tutored precalculus privately for one year when I was in high school.
Trigonometry Tutoring
The material in trigonometry is revisited throughout every undergraduate mathematics course. I am very familiar with the material in trigonometry and have taught it through other courses. I also tutored trigonometry specifically for one semester in high school.
Calculus Tutoring
Calculus was my favorite class to take in high school. I tutored this material for six semesters as an undergraduate calculus drop-in help session leader. I also tutored individual students (and many peers) in calculus at Bucknell University.
Calculus AP Tutoring
Calculus AP was my favorite class to take in high school. I tutored this material for six semesters as an undergraduate calculus drop-in help session leader. I also tutored individual students (and many peers) in calculus at Bucknell University.
