Fun Facts
I love to travel and have visited over 15 different countries! In my free time, I surf, scuba dive, and play beach volleyball in an adult league. Though my favorite genre to read is historical fiction, my favorite author is Agatha Christie.
About Me
I am a Senior Political Science and Spanish double major at Loyola Marymount University with a strong passion for learning. At LMU, I have been involved in a variety of organizations including the student government as an elected Senator and as the Attorney General. My goal for after graduation is to attend a top-tier law school and focus my studies on international law.
Throughout my career as a tutor, I have worked with a variety of students- with ages ranging from elementary school to high school. I have extensive experience teaching Spanish and English up to the university level. Though my primary emphasis of study and tutoring experience has tended to lean towards the liberal arts, I do have experience tutoring mathematics up to Algebra 1 and am more than comfortable in doing so.
I am a firm believer in the notion that a strong education serves as the foundation for success in life. Therefore, as a tutor, I take a very hands-on approach in the sense that I make sure that my students are getting the attention they need. I emphasize resourcefulness, diligence, and critical thinking so that my students will be able to acquire the skills necessary to address questions themselves, rather than simply looking to someone else for the answers. No matter the subject, I will assign my students extra work to be completed by the next tutoring session.
