About Me
I am currently a senior at FIU and I am a few credits away from graduating with a BS in Biology. When I graduate my goal is to go on to Dental School and after Dental School I aim to specialize in Orthodontics.
Experience
My tutoring experience dates back to middle school. As a member of the National Junior Honor Society, I would tutor middle school students struggling in math and I would tutor my next door neighbor in math, science, and any other subject he needed help with. In high school, as a member of the National Honor Society I would tutor fellow high school students in various subjects but mainly math. And in college I spent a semester tutoring elementary school students at Sweetwater Elementary.
Approach
My main approach to tutoring is to make sure the student is comfortable around me and knows that I do not take a condescending approach when i tutor. I make sure they know that we all have moments where we struggle or subjects we struggle with but it is how we deal with those struggles and how willing we are to overcome those struggles and search for help that help mold our characters for the future.

Biology
Writing Tutoring
I have been told that my writing ability is above average throughout high school and now at FIU as well when I've had to write papers for English class and for my Honors classes.
Spanish Tutoring
Very fluent in Spanish. Have spoken it all my life and taken Spanish classes from elementary to college.
Science Tutoring
Science is one of my passions. Particularly, Organic Chemistry and Physiology. I remember back in middle school and elementary school science and math were my favorite subjects and I look forward to helping others understand these subjects.
Homework Coach Tutoring
My homework coaches throughout elementary school and middle school were my parents and I believe they did a great job in making sure all my homework was done and would help me when I needed help. Likewise I look forward to helping others stay on top of their assignments and have done so in the past for my neighbor.

Organic Chemistry is my strong suit but throughout high school i excelled in my chemistry courses and found joy in my chemistry classes.

Arts Tutoring
Arts play an essential role in a child's education. I believe in studies that show that a child who plays an instrument is more likely to do better off in school. And I believe this applies to a certain degree with all Arts (Art, Chorus, Band, etc). I have a passion for music even though I've never played an instrument and I have a passion for Art (and I've always been enrolled in Art from Elementary to High School)
Math Tutoring
Math used to be one of my strongest subjects up until Calculus where I lost interest in math. I would enjoy helping elementary school kids fall in love with the subject just as I did at a young age.
Elementary Math Tutoring
From a young age I've enjoyed math and have tutored others in math for years. Once I took Calculus the love for math faded away but throughout middle school and high school I was always advanced in mathematics and particularly enjoyed Algebra 1 in 7th grade and Algebra 2 in 9th grade.
Social Studies Tutoring
I've had a love/hate relationship with Social Studies. I used to love it in Elementary School and Middle School but in High School I didn't enjoy World History and other Social Studies as much (with US Government being an exception). With that being said I would have a lot of fun with Geography and it is one of my strong points.
Microsoft PowerPoint Tutoring
Years of experience with PowerPoint presentations. Practice makes perfect, and I've had a lot of practice with Microsoft.
Microsoft Windows Tutoring
I have worked with the Windows operating system my entire life. I have had a lot of practice with Windows and know certain shortcuts as well.
Microsoft Word Tutoring
Years of experience with Word. Still use it to this day along with Windows and PowerPoint. Anything new that I do not know, I just Google.
