Fun Facts
While I've always enjoyed most STEM subjects, I'm a huge fan of the arts. I taught myself to play guitar, and some piano. I can sing and do some acting, as well! I also love reading and writing, especially poetry. I love my dog, Hershey, with all of my heart, and take great pride in making people laugh.
About Me
I'm attending the University of Miami and am currently majoring in Physics under the Pre-Med Track. After finishing my undergraduate degree, I plan on attending another university for medical school, and want more than anything to become a psychiatrist with a practice that both prescribes medication and counsels its patients.
Experience
The first time I actually tutored someone was in the 8th grade, and I haven't looked at tutoring the same since. I entered high school and being a member of National Honor Society (NHS), Science NHS, Foreign Language NHS, Rho Kappa, and Honors Girls Ensemble allowed me the opportunity to tutor all sorts of high schoolers in all subjects. I found it incredibly rewarding, but didn't think I would be very good with children until I started volunteering as a camp counselor. Now, I do it all!
Approach
One of the things that always bothered me about school was the stigma of education with students themselves. Ever since I was little, I always enjoyed going to class, both to see my friends and learn new things, but I also noticed that people tended to say they hated school and never wanted to pay attention. What I want to do is find a way to make duller subjects fun and relatable to whoever it is that's learning so that maybe, they'll be able to enjoy learning and push themselves to success!
