Fun Facts
I spend most of my free time outdoors. I love everything from running, biking, and swimming to skiing, gardening, and taking my dog on walks on all the great outdoor trails in Austin. I also love music and dancing. Growing up, I took ballet, learned to play the piano, and was on my high school dance team. My greatest passion of all is traveling. I love discovering new cultures and letting the world become my classroom. I hope to someday ski in the Swiss Alps!
About Me
I recently graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in May 2012 with a B.S. in Neurobiology. I am currently living and working in Austin for the year before beginning medical school. I hope to someday become a pediatrician because I love working with children.
During college I tutored my peers in biology, chemistry, and physics courses. I held the role of Director of Scholarship for my sorority, where I provided academic resources and established a mentoring program where older members could advise and austin">tutor new members pursuing the same degree. I also have experience austin">tutoring high school chemistry and various levels of math.
I am a hands-on learner and learn best by example. My favorite teachers in high school and college were those that made the material applicable to my life and level of understanding. As a austin">tutor, I challenge my students with examples and new applications. I am patient and continually asses the student's understanding to create an individualized pace of learning.
