Fun Facts

Being raised in a small town taught me the importance of hard work and diligence. I was raised on a farm and showed pigs at the county fair. I love to read and one of my hobbies is taking my sons to the library. I moved to Albuquerque to attend college and have since made it my home.

About Me

After teaching for a couple of years my husband and I decided it was time to add to our family. This year I will be taking a break from teaching in order to stay at home with my two boys. However, I love teaching and decided that part time albuquerque">tutoring was for me. I love getting to help students and parents. Watching a student succeed and discover that moment when they understand a subject is an amazing accomplishment.

I have taught Freshman in High School. I have also helped teach and albuquerque">tutor students in middle school. I have a passion for reading and try to connect with my students through their interests. Teaching is much more than having a child regurgitate information it is helping them understand the world around them.

My philosophy is to let the student lead. By getting to know a student's interests I am usually able to plan engaging lessons that help reinforce a concept. Many students just need an added to person to coach them to succeed.
