Fun Facts

At Texas Christian University I am a member of the sorority Kappa Kappa Gamma. At home I have two dogs that I love dearly and often go back to visit. When I was a baby my parents changed my name from Lauren to Katherine, but people now call me Katie.

About Me

I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas and attended the Hockaday School for girls. I am currently a sophomore at Texas Christian University and am pre-Business, but looking to double major in Finance and Marketing and minor in Spanish language. Last summer I studied abroad in London, Paris, and Rome through the John V. Roach Honors College at TCU and am aspiring to study abroad in Spain next summer!

I have had a lot of experience with tutoring. In high school I volunteered at a charter school in Dallas called Kipp and acted as a teacher's assistant by grading tests, helping individual students, leading activities, and much more. I also volunteered at the Martin Luther King Library in Dallas to teach reading and mathematical skills to elementary school children. My freshman year of college I began babysitting for a local Fort Worth resident and am still assisting her eight year old daughter with general homework and other needs.

All students are capable of comprehending basic mathematical and language skills, but often it may take a different approach for the information to settle in. My philosophy is that patience and the ability to explain the same information in a multitude of ways enable a tutor to reach the individual student. Classroom settings may not provide the right forum to reach your son or daughter, but Frog Tutoring can and will!
