About Me
I am currently attending the University of Arizona and am in the Biomedical Sciences program. This program includes a vast array of sciences from chemistry to ecology and everything in between. I hope to attend the University of Kansas to earn my doctorate in Biomedical Sciences. Eventually, I hope to focus on personalized medicine/cancer research with the education I receive.
In high school, I always succeeded in math and chemistry. Since I was always in more advanced classes than the average student in my grade, I had already taken the courses that many of the students were struggling in. I signed up for a course that involved tucson">tutoring students my age for an hour everyday of the week. Once I started attending the U of A, I found myself helping fellow students in chemistry during discussion sections and at test reviews. I find tucson">tutoring to be very rewarding and enjoy seeing my time help other students.
Still to this day my Dad is one my biggest tucson">tutor. I have found that his effectiveness is a result of helping me look at problems from a different perspective, and relating topics/concepts to real world applications. When I tucson">tutor a student, I try to use this same approach and allow the student to open his or her mind in order to help them best learn the material. As a tucson">tutor, I think it is very helpful to provide a positive attitude and act as a reliable support system to keep the student driven. I try to motivate and encourage the students I tucson">tutor to keep them on the road to success.
