Fun Facts
I love music, outdoors, and running outside! These are all things that make me relax and call. During my junior year of college, I got to spend the summer living in Orlando, Florida and working at Universal Studios with Campus Outreach College Ministry. One of my favorite movies is Hercules; has a lot of sound motivational messages in it!
About Me
Born in St. Louis, MO and raised in Webster Groves, MO. I am currently a first year graduate student in the secondary school counseling program at University of Missouri St. Louis. I graduated from Indiana State University in May 2015, where my love for student development increased and developed.
My approach to working with students, is to take a direct approach in seeing exactly where the student is struggling, so I can then patiently engage with them and help to increase their skills.
Experience
I have worked with student on many grade levels, from being a KIDS Hope USA mentor, summer camp counselor for kids ages K-7 and mentoring college students as well! All of these area have helped me learn how to reach different student groups.
Approach
In elementary school I struggled with math in various grade levels, after finding teachers and tutors that would work extra with me, I found that every student is different with learning. With that, when it comes to helping other students, I am patient and able to help meet them where they are at in learning.

I've taken all 4 years of high school English, college English, creative writing, communication/English content courses in college. All of these classes have allowed me to see that English skills dealing with writing and structure are transferable in multiple settings in our life. I've always loved this subject and its has always been one of my strong points.
Homework Coach Tutoring
Encouragement and motivation is my strong suit. I have worked in very settings to learn how to reach students at many ages and would love to motivate them and coach them through homework. My learning skills and team player efforts, would each student get to a strong area in their learning.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
Reading has always been a strong point for me, and I see more and more students today struggling with this. I want to be able to help these students, while it may be uncomfortable for them, I could bridge that gap.
Study Skills Tutoring
I've mentored students on various grade levels, and helping them with study skills, and apply practical learning ways is a strong point for me. I have been through many developing and training workshops dealing with study skills as well. I would help students implement these skills to their studies.
Social Studies Tutoring
I studied history as an undergraduate student at Indiana State University; through this I was able to learn about it and show my passion and love with those around me. I enjoy helping students with this subject.
Writing Tutoring
I have always been a strong writer, and now I do writing on a masters level; which allows me to be more knowledgeable on more subject areas. I understand that students write different and can help bind the gaps.
