About Me
After completing my B.A. in linguistics at UC Berkeley, I moved to Albuquerque with my husband to attend the University of New Mexico for my Master's in linguistics. After finishing graduate school, I hope to complete a teacher's credential program where I can ultimately pursue a career as a high school teacher in English or math.
I first began albuquerque">tutoring during my junior year of high school when my neighbor asked if I could help her two middle schoolers with their math homework. As their mentor, their progress in both their grades and study habits were deeply rewarding. Since then, I have continued to mentor students from elementary school to high school in subjects such as math, English, French, and history. During the last year, I have also become an ACT/SAT instructor and have had immense success with my students.
My albuquerque">tutoring philosophy is to NEVER lecture my student. It is very important to me that my albuquerque">tutoring session is interactive and fun for my student. Rather than give the student the answer, I'd rather work together so that the student can reach the answer on her own.
