Fun Facts
I love to cook and bake. I love to bake everything from scratch such as cookies, cupcakes, and pies. I hope to one day own a bakery. I use to be a cheerleader in Middle School and High School, I still love to dance.
About Me
I have an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies from Northwestern College. I graduated with a 3.92 GPA. I am currently attending DePaul University where I am pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Studies. Once I graduate I will continue at DePaul University and get my Master’s in Education.
Experience
I worked with Chicago Public School in the “No Child Left Behind” program, chicago">tutoring students from 1st -8th grade in Math and English. My students were given a Pretest and Posttest and on average scored 25% greater on the posttest then the pretest. I enjoy working with students and helping them gain knowledge and understanding in areas they lacked.
Approach
I like to help students feel comfortable making mistakes, because no one is perfect. I ensure students that I am here to help them in areas that are not their strengths. I believe that it is critical to inform the student on their progress so that they gain a sense of confidence. I push my students to do their best at all times. With Elementary and Middle School students I like to use games, and props to demonstrate the lessons.
