Fun Facts
I've been to about 15-24 states and have souvenirs from some of them. I love singing and dancing. I've prepped my after-school students for upcoming Christmas and Thanksgiving shows. This was done through light vocal training and performance tips/rehearsals.
About Me
As a graduate of CUNY Medgar Evers, my professional goal is to become a teacher and ultimately a principal and entrepreneur. I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology. I am pursuing my Maters Degree in Higher Education Administration and have 6 credits left to complete after the Spring. I am currently a sixth grade Science teacher and have 6 and a half years teaching remedial Math to college students.
Experience
As a CUNY Start Math Teacher I was able to teach college math students and eventually have my own class. Being a co-director of Star Scholars Academy, I've had the opportunity to connect with multiple students within a short space of time. I was able to conduct both in home and center based tutorial session. These gave me the opportunity to do Math and Science projects and the occasional science experiments. It was something I've learned through my studies that I willingly do with my students.
Approach
I migrated to the US towards the end of my childhood,so ideally I can relate to middle and high school students better. I do however believe that once I've set the foundation for my session, my student understands that I am well equipped for experiments. I make learning fun by positive reinforcement and praise. I adjust to my student's learning style and love to see cheers,not tears!

I provide my personal worksheets in addition to print outs for my students. I've majored in Biology,so I challenge the students to learn something new and be more curious about things.
Study Skills Tutoring
I am able to get students to focus through experience with the area content. I provide my own review worksheets in order to give them a fair chance to feel comfortable with the material.
