I am REALLY into movies and tv shows. I enjoy learning through watching documentaries and for fun I like watching medical dramas like Grey's Anatomy and House M.D. Another hobby I have is going on long bike rides along the beach because I live super close to the ocean.

About Me

I am a senior Nursing student at Florida International University. I have a passion for both math and science and really enjoy teaching these subjects. Studying nursing gives you the ability to critically think and to analyze data. Also, an important part of nursing is being able to educate and provide positive outcomes.

Experience

Prior to attending FIU I served four years in the Army as a medic. This provided me several opportunities to be placed in leadership positions. By my last year of service I was supervising and instructing several other soldiers on academic and hands on skills. While serving in the military I learned a lot of self discipline and how to work hard toward your goals.

Approach

Math and science are not easy subjects to grasp so I always provide encouragement and instill a positive approach to problem solving. However, I don't believe in sugar coating or providing answers to my students without them first working diligently on the problem. I feel a strong sense of responsibility to ensure academic success for my students.
