Fun Facts
I am an avid bowhunter. I spend a lot of time in the woods any chance I get. I used to be a mixed martial artist for a short time, and I was 2-0 as an amateur. I've also been to 25 states on a motorcycle.
About Me
I'm a recent graduate with a BS in Chemistry from the University of Central Missouri, and I'm employed by the University of Missouri in their Chemistry Department. I'm currently in the process of applying to medical school, which although at times arduous, is something that I'm very passionate about. This is why tutoring these subjects has been such a pleasure for me.
Experience
I've been a tutor since High School, where I did my tutoring hours working with Algebra II students as a volunteer. Through college I tutored a number of subjects through an association working with underprivileged students as well as through the Student Success Center. Primarily, I ran the tutoring groups for Organic Chemistry and General Chemistry, although we delved into Biochemistry and other subjects as well.
Approach
I like to have a fun, fast paced learning environment. I've always found that students who are enjoying themselves learn the best, so I always strive to make my lessons enjoyable. I tutor in a variety of ways depending on the needs of the student; sometimes I'm more of a lecturer, sometimes I do Q/A sessions, and others I work with 1 on 1. I push my students to set goals in the class, and achieve them, and I truly believe anyone can learn anything.

Took this class in High School, passed with an A, and took mathematics through Calc II in college.
Organic Chemistry I Tutoring
I received an A in Organic Chemistry I and II and tutored it for 5 years after completing the course.

I received an A in Organic Chemistry I and II and tutored it for 5 years after completing the course.
Study Skills Tutoring
I was a science major, taking a variety of difficult classes at the same time. Consequently, I became excellent at managing my time wisely and studying appropriately for each class to receive the grade I desired.
Algebra Tutoring
I tutored Algebra for 2 years in High School, and now I tutor College Algebra on the collegiate level.
AP Chemistry Tutoring
I graduated as a Chemistry major, and am academically qualified to teach High School level chemistry.
Biology Tutoring
I took several College level Biology courses and received excellent grades in them in my pursuit of medical school. I also did very well on the Biological Sciences portion of the MCAT.
Chemistry Tutoring
I was a Chemistry Major in college and I've tutored numerous different forms of Chemistry on both the High School and Collegiate level.

I tutored a variety of students on the High School, Middle School and College levels different types of mathematics.

I'm extremely good at time management, given my involvement in multiple organizations on campus while in pursuit of a degree in Chemistry. I'm also well versed in teaching these practices to others.

I have tutored many varieties of mathematics at a variety of levels.
Physics Tutoring
I took College level Physics, and received good grades in both classes, as well as doing very well on the Physical Sciences portion of the MCAT, which is about 50% Physics.
Science Tutoring
I graduated with a degree in Chemistry, requiring me to take a number of science courses in all fields.
MCAT Tutoring
I took the MCAT during the old system and received a 30.
History Tutoring
I graduated with a History minor, on top of my Chemistry Major, and I'm well versed in study tactics for History classes and tests on all levels.
Middle School Math Tutoring
I am extremely proficient at all basic mathematics, as I was required to be by my major in Chemistry in college. Currently I use mathematics in my job on a regular basis, particularly middle school mathematics.
Pre Algebra Tutoring
During High School I was a tutor for Algebra II and Algebra I, requiring me to have very strong Algebra skills. I honed those skills further during my college career, and currently I tutor mathematics from basic math through College Algebra.
