Fun Facts
Texas is my home and my love. I'm a native of Fort Worth and I love Tex Mex food and Red Dirt Country Music. I love to spend time outside, either swimming, gardening, biking, walking, or camping. When I'm indoors I enjoy going dancing and singing in the shower. I also really enjoy taking road trips because I like to see the seemingly untouched corners of the country, and one day I hope to be able to say that I have visited all fifty states.
About Me
I am an honors student psychology major and Spanish minor at Texas Christian University. I'm on the Dean's list with a 3.9 GPA. When I graduate from TCU I'd like to attend graduate school at the University of North Texas in Denton to complete a Masters degree in psychology. I would like to spend some time as a high school Spanish teacher before earning a Ph.D. and becoming a therapist.
Experience
In high school I was a member of an organization called Athletes for Literacy. The program selected high school students to work with elementary students on reading skills, so once a week I read with first grade students. I also spent a lot of time helping my friends complete Spanish homework or editing their essays. Academic assignments have always come easily to me so I enjoy helping others who sometimes struggle in that area.
Approach
I believe that the best way to learn is to teach, so before I offer any answers or guidance on assignments, I ask students to explain the rules or principles to me. Then I ask them questions, prompting them to remember more details. Doing this lets me see how much they understand and where the gaps are that need to be filled so that I can efficiently help them where they need help, while also reinforcing what they already know by having them explain it to me.

Spanish I Tutoring
I have taken 5 years so far of Spanish and I have a very strong understanding of the Spanish language. Spanish I focuses on basic grammar and vocabulary, and introduces pronunciation. I have always been successful and made A's in my Spanish courses, and teaching Spanish is something that I am passionate about.
Spanish II Tutoring
I have taken 5 years of Spanish so far and I have a very strong understanding of the language. Spanish II introduces more vocabulary and slightly more complex sentence structure. I have always been successful and made A's in my Spanish classes, and teaching Spanish is something I am passionate about.
Spanish III Tutoring
I have taken 5 years of Spanish so far and I have a very strong understanding of the language. Spanish III introduces sophisticated grammar concepts that can be a little bit tricky at first, but with practice become much easier. I have always been successful and made A's in my Spanish classes, and teaching Spanish is something I am passionate about.
History Tutoring
Texas and US History are two very fascinating subjects for me. I took pre-ap sections of these classes in middle school, AP US History in high school (I did take the AP exam at the end of the year and earned a 5), and one college level course on the American Revolution, in which I made an A.
Homework Coach Tutoring
As an honors student, I have spent a lot of time studying and doing homework. I've also spent a lot of time helping others to complete their assignments, whether it was in motivating them to complete the work or offering them guidance on how to complete it. Homework is never fun, but practice is an important part of the learning process.
