Fun Facts

I love to ride horses and be outdoors! I recently hiked the La Luz Trail and hiking has become one of my favorite things to do on the weekend. Another fun thing about me is that I am learning to play guitar. When I'm not studying you can probably find me working out or enjoying music.

About Me

Hi! I am a junior nursing student at the University of New Mexico. I look forward to graduating and starting my career in nursing! So far, I am interested in working in the ICU, but I can't wait to learn about all the nursing fields.

In high school, I tutored the dance team and cheer team in math so that they could get their grades up to be able to participate in their activities. I really liked seeing their progress and their excitement over their good grades. I have tutored classmates and peers informally in college, mostly in calculus, but also in anatomy, biology, and statistics. I am looking forward to albuquerque">tutoring many more people.

The first thing that I like to do when helping a student is figure out how they learn best. I have noticed that often times the student is struggling because they can't relate to the way that the teacher is teaching. Also, I am a school supply nerd! So, I love to share my organizational/study techniques, and I am a firm believer that having cute school supplies can make a difference!
