Fun Facts
Since my freshman year year of high school I have been involved in colorguard. This is how I get my exercise and my creative outing. It takes a lot of hard work to be able to spin flag, throw rifles, and look pretty all at the same time. I am now thankful to be apart of the NC State marching band continuing what I love! I am also apart of Wake Tech Community College National Honors Society.
About Me
I am a sophomore at NC State University majoring in middle school math education. I am planning to then become AIG certified, with a masters degree, and National Board Certified.
Experience
As a member of the National Honors Society in high school I was given the opportunity to tutor high school students. After entering college I began private tutoring some 8th grade math students and continue to tutor the same students now in high school. I believe Frog Tutoring will allow me to continue to help children build confidence and shine in their weaknesses.
Approach
All my life I have struggled in English. This subject never came easy to me. However, this was no excuse for me. I would work late nights and weekends to allow myself to be better. My parents sent me to a reading class on NC States campus during 4th grade. I never gave up. This struggle has allowed me to become the person I am today. I strive to be the very best I can be. In my eyes nothing is right until it's perfect and even then its still not good enough.

Algebra Tutoring
Algebra is one of my strongest subjects in math. When I finished algebra I came out of the class with a 96% and a 94 on the Algebra EOC. Algebra was the first class I began tutoring students.
Algebra II Tutoring
This year I began tutoring students in common core Math II and Math III. These two classes are a mix of Geometry and Algebra II. I had a very strong Algebra II teacher who is my mentor and past tutor. When I finished he class I ended up with an 98% in the class with an 98% on the final exam as well.
Geometry Tutoring
Geometry is well known for using the English side of the brain. How I am not very strong in English my geometry background is a lot stronger than English. When I finished this class in high school I earned a 92%. The year after I took Honors Geometry in high school my mother began teaching Geometry in the 8th grade. It had been many years since my mom had last worked with geometry so I helped reteach her.
Pre Calculus Tutoring
Took pre calculus my junior year of high school. When I finished I had a 96 in the class and a 95 on the final exam.
Math Advance Tutoring
All of my math I students received 85 and above on their EOC's. The future goal is to become a middle school math teacher. This is where my heart and passion is with teaching education.
Middle School Math Tutoring
I tutor many middle school students. Last June I tutored three students in math I during the 8th grade. All three of my students passed the math EOC and math I EOC. One of my students went from making a 66 on the EOG in 7th grade to and 85 on the EOG in the 8th grade. I also had a student to make a 98 on her math EOG which is almost a perfect score. I was very proud of the students I have and still continue to be amazed.
