I enjoy doing many different activities in my downtime. I love hanging out with my friends and family. I also enjoy reading a good book. Once I start one I cannot put it down! I love making new dessert recipes that I find on the social media website pinterest. A habit that I enjoy too much is shopping. I cannot resist a good sale! I also enjoy learning about new things and just having fun.

About Me

I am a junior at the memphis">University of Memphis. I have made the Dean’s List for three years in a row! I am a Teaching all Learners major and hope to achieve my goal of becoming a education/tennessee/memphis">special education or elementary teacher after graduation. I chose education as my major and future profession because I always have had a love for learning. A goal of mine when I become a teacher is to instill a love for learning into my students. I want to help those who struggle in school and show them that learning can be fun. I currently live at home with my mom and three sisters. I am a very friendly responsible outgoing person who enjoys spending downtime with my friends and family.

I have had experience memphis">tutoring my peers, friends and family members. I have tutored my sister, who has dyslexia, throughout her educational career and continue to memphis">tutor her through her college years. It is a wonderful experience helping someone understand materials that they once found confusing, instituting them to take pride in their school work.

My memphis">tutoring approach is student-centered. I let those who I am memphis">tutoring know that I am there to help, not to do their work for them. I think that it is important that you put the onus of knowing the materials on the students so that they won’t think that you will do the work for them. As a memphis">tutor, you are there to help them and make sure that they understand what their materials. Even if you have to do the same problem ten times over, you have to make sure that the student understands the process and is not just getting to the end result for the sake of finishing. Motivating and encouraging the student are important aspects when memphis">tutoring.
