About Me
I am currently working towards my masters in education at the University of New Mexico. I graduated with a double major in biology and chemistry in 2007 from UNM and look forward to having my own classroom someday soon. After several years of substituting and private albuquerque">tutoring sessions with a friends child struggling with reading and writing I realized that I would enjoy albuquerque">tutoring on a regular basis so I looked into Frog albuquerque">Tutoring.
I have experience in albuquerque">tutoring sessions with fellow classmates as well as group albuquerque">tutoring at UNM's Center for Academic Success (CAPS). This is where I realized the value of a dedicated albuquerque">tutor. Although I have only tutored one student formally and routinely for two semesters I was able to see a vast improvement in their confidence to read and write. In addition to this we bonded over topics outside the academic world and became good friends and have since remained in contact.
I plan to connect with each client as I feel it is very important to create a relationship with trust and caring. Becoming a albuquerque">tutor involves becoming a mentor as well. I look forward to meeting new clients and helping them to gain the confidence that will help them to acheive the goals they have set forth.
