Fun Facts
I am from Wisconsin. Originally, I am from South America, but I moved to Wisconsin and lived there for 18 years, before going to college, graduating with a degree in Spanish, and then moving to Chicago. That was back in 2006. Four years ago, I decided that I wanted to return to school to study science. I attended the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay; it was super tough at first, but I never gave up; and I was able to graduate in 4 years, earning the respect of my peers and teachers.
About Me
When I graduated for the second time in 2012, I received two degrees. The first was in Nutrition Science. The second was in Molecular Biology. I love science, which is something I thought I would NEVER say. I am attending graduate school at the University of Minnesota in the future and plan to study molecular nutrition. I am really interested in how our bodies function along with the food that we eat. The only thing that I love more than science is learning.
I have been albuquerque">tutoring college students for 2 years. I started out albuquerque">tutoring for Microbiology and then moved onto Genetics. I have also helped other students with Physiology and Biochemistry. I love all kinds of biology.
I understand how hard these subjects are for students to grasp. They weren't easy for me at first either! But I had patient & knowledgeable teachers and always asked a lot of questions so that I could make sure to understand everything that I could. Teaching others what I have learned is something that I find super important. Teaching these concepts in a way that is understandable for everyone is something that I strive to do. After all, understanding is crucial for learning and growing!
