Fun Facts
In my free time I enjoy being active with my friends and family. In high school I played a variety of sports, and continue to play soccer on the women's club team at Butler University. I also enjoy wake-boarding in the summer and snowboarding in the winter! While being active is a huge part of my life I have always enjoyed going to school because I think that knowledge is the most important thing a person can ever posses.
About Me
As long as I can remember I've had a mind for math and science. I also have a strong desire to help people in whatever way that I can. Combining these two strengths that I have I am pursuing a major in Biology and a minor in Business Administration at Butler University. My goal is to go to graduate school for Physical Therapy.
My interest in indianapolis">tutoring was sparked when my younger cousins would call me for help with their math homework. I loved the feeling of being able to help them and see those "ah ha" moments when they finally understood a new concept. Because of this I began indianapolis">tutoring a boy in middle school in math. I continue to enjoy helping students meet their full potential, which is why I am a part of the Frog indianapolis">Tutoring team.
As a indianapolis">tutor I believe that it is important to understand what a student is like in and out of the classroom. I think communication with teachers and parents is extremely important to best understand a student's current study habits and to be persistent in teaching them new study habits. Good study habits are the foundation of good learning. I also believe in encouraging students to ask questions and to seek the answers to those questions. In my experience, when students gain the ability to answer their own questions they gain confidence in themselves and in their problem solving skills.
