Fun Facts

A few fun facts about me are that I love cats and cows, they are my favorite animals. I rarely eat any meat that isn't chicken. While in high school, I worked at a Chinese restaurant where I was the only employee that spoke fluent English.

About Me

I graduated high school with a 4.2 GPA and ranked 3rd in my class of 125 students in May of 2012. I am a chemistry nerd, but I enjoy any science, really. I always did well in English, math, or science classes.

As far as experience goes, I tutored a younger friend in Algebra 1 after he failed it the first time. He ended up passing after I helped him. I have also helped friends with any classes we were in together or classes I had taken in the past and I taught other students certain sections if the teacher was not available.

Usually, I like to observe the student and see their weaknesses before I begin working.I have found that letting the student make their mistake and then helping them fix it is more beneficial than reteaching a subject. After observing their mistakes and helping them correct them, I will reinforce what I have taught them and finish up by letting them test themselves again on the subject. I will assess their progress and, if need be, go over the material again.
