During my sophomore and junior college years, I formally tutored math, science, Spanish and Swahili for middle and high school students from a local alternative school. My atlanta">tutoring approach is one in which the student and I engage jointly in a process of collaborative learning, meaning that the student and I build a shared vision. The ultimate goal of this collaboration is the student's academic and personal success. My approach is one in which I encourage and motivate the students to amplify their academic abilities through trial and error, reflection, discussion, sharing of insights and successfully collaborating to make learning fun and interesting, while achieving goals.
