Fun Facts

One passion people quickly learn about me is that I love the performing arts! I love to sing, dance, play instruments; if it has to do with music, I love it!! Growing up, I played the cello as well as the keyboard and held concerts throughout school. I also am a health advocate and am big on only eating organic food. Living organically is not just something I do, it is a lifestyle that I truly enjoy! It is exciting for me because I am learning something new every day!!

About Me

I am from Los Angeles, California but have been living in Atlanta, GA for several years now. Currently, I am in school for my MBA degree and am an Admissions Representative for Ashworth College; I have been working in the education environment for some time. I have also worked at the Art Institute as a Math Tutor and Teacher Assistant for the Algebra I class. I have so much passion for working in admissions and as an educator because I truly care about helping my students reach their goals.

Experience

As an Admissions Representative, I get to work with a diverse demographic of students; my goal is to enroll as many students as I can into our school through teaching, coaching, mentoring, and motivating them. I applied the same tactics as a Math Tutor and Teacher Assistant. Math is my favorite subject in the world and it is something that I have been good at ever since I can remember; and I have been successful at helping others comprehend and succeed in this subject as well.

Approach

My tutoring approach goes hand-n-hand with how I learn myself. I learn through: listening and writing things down (taking notes), physically doing it myself (making an attempt to try it on my own), repetition (practice makes perfect), and through making mistakes (conquering and gaining a true understanding of what I am not comprehending so that it can become mastered). I am a very patient individual and I am very sensitive to others emotions; giving up is never an option for me and my students!
