One of the hobbies I enjoy most is coloring and drawing, although I do not do it much because I am very busy. I also like to do arts and crafts. My favorite season is winter and my favorite holiday is Christmas Day.

About Me

I am a student at Rio Salado College's Teacher Education Program. I received my BA in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Spanish from California State University, Long Beach in California. I am currently completing the last step of my teaching certificate program which is student teaching. My future plans are to get my Bilingual Endorsement so that I can teach in Spanish, which is my native language, and become a mother.

I have about one and a half years of phoenix">tutoring experience. I have tutored in math-elementary/arizona/phoenix">elementary math and reading. I have also worked in the education/arizona/phoenix">special education classroom for about four years. My first three years were at the high school level and my last year was at the elementary level. I have experience working with students individually and in small groups.

My approach to phoenix">tutoring and helping students learn is based on the fact that "One size does not fit all." I believe all students are different each deserve instruction at their own level and in a way that they can understand it. This is why I always try to implement various methods when teaching so that students have a variety of opportunities to learn. I also believe students need to be engaged and interested in what they are learning, therefore helping them see the meaning behind what thy are learning is very important to me.
