Fun Facts
My passion for traveling has stuck with me my whole life. When I was a child, I would roam all over my family's property. As I grew, my territory expanded to our street, neighborhood, city, and so on. Now, after three years on my own, I have been to three continents and most of the United States. I am also an avid photographer, an amateur chef, and part Greek.
About Me
As a soon-to-be college graduate, I am hoping to work internationally and to teach. I have spent my undergraduate years studying Literature, Writing, and International Studies. I am planning to use those fields of study to teach English abroad and possibly pursue a career in international education.
Previously, I served as an ESL tutor for international students at UCSD. I met with various undergraduate-level students one-on-one and tailored lessons to their specific levels and needs. I also have worked as an assistant teacher with a program through the Museum of Photographic Arts, where I helped teach art in classrooms all over San Diego to students grades ranging from 3rd to 8th grade.
Overall, I believe that the main purpose of a tutor is to serve the student. As a tutor, I want to do everything I can to actually help the student. I believe that I must find ways to reach the student and make sure everything I do will help them. Because of this, each lesson must be tailored to each student and that student's learning style and needs.
