Fun Facts

I love to dance! I have been taking dance lessons for 14 years and it is not uncommon to find me swaying or bouncing along to any music playing. Speaking of which, although I am totally and completely terrible at it, I love singing as well. I am also a bit of a terrible chef, only capable of baking sweets and desserts. I've traveled to 49 out of the 50 states; Alaska, here I come!

About Me

I am a junior and Honors student at chicago">Loyola University Chicago studying Nursing. Upon graduation I hope to work as a pediatric Registered Nurse for a few years before going back to school to earn my Master's. Ultimately, however, I wish to teach Nursing concepts such as anatomy or pathophysiology at the university or high school level.

Before coming to college I had four years of experience teaching religious education to third and sixth graders at my local church. At Loyola I have tutored and mentored freshmen at Chicago high schools. Both of these roles involved identifying my students' academic strengths and weaknesses, working on their weaknesses while building on their strengths to form a powerful foundation of learning.

I have a balanced, "all-around" approach to helping my students. I try my best to use different strategies to teach information and follow what works best for both the student and me. I also believe chicago">tutoring entails more than simply knowing class material: it also involves being able to apply information to real life and connecting concepts from other subjects to that particular topic. Through positive reinforcement and constant encouragement, I work together with my students so they not only gain but also become confident enough to expand their knowledge.
