Fun Facts
I lived all over the country growing up, so naturally I have come to love geography! Other things I enjoy doing is fencing (yes swordfighting) and reading sci-fi, horror, and mystery novels. Someday I hope to be able to speak German as well. I attended high school in the Valley of the Sun at Brophy, go Broncos!
About Me
I am a 2nd year PhD student at Arizona State University in the School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences. When I graduate I hope to become a professor of Statistics somewhere in the United States.
Experience
Since my Junior year of high school (8 years ago) I have tutored students from in Subjects ranging from middle school math, all the way to College level calculus and physics. Tutoring has always been a good outlet for my abilities and I love to see students experience the eureka moment when they first understand new mathematical concepts.
Approach
I first fell in love with math when I had a High School teacher whose approach to the students was showing them that Math is not a hard subject. I try to let my sessions be all about understanding why math is easy even though we all hear people say "Math never made sense to me". The best ways to make math easy are practice through problems, and learning good study skills. Don't be surprised when I ask you to teach me how to do it, which is the ultimate proof of skill mastery.
