Fun Facts

I am a DJ/Karaoke Host. I've been doing this for over 9 years now. I have shows weekly and have hosted a countless number of special events for people throughout the state of Texas. I love all genres of music. I enjoy seeing the audience respond to the songs I choose. I also love to fish. I do not enjoy fresh water fishing as much as salt water fishing, but if I see a body of water, I generally get the urge to fish it! I also enjoy gaming, although I am not very good, as well as a variety of sports, which I am also admittedly not as talented at. I enjoy singing, and have an 8 year old son who performs as a vocalist at a semi-professional level around San Antonio.

About Me

I am currently enrolled as a student at UTSA and am pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education K-6th grade. I've maintained a 3.54 GP while working full time and providing for my family. I am proud to have served in the United States Air Force for 6 years, and I have been a manager for many major retailers, gyms, and manufacturing firms.

I have been training and mentoring people for over ten years now and benefited from a number of personal and educational experiences which give me an edge when addressing the concerns of my colleagues, peers, and students. I recently worked with students in after school programs for SA Youth, as well as in the classroom for Galm Elementary. It was the work experience I had at Galm Elementary that motivated me to pursue my degree in education.

As a tutor, I try to examine the students strengths and weaknesses and create a plan that is individually suited to meet their needs. I use a variety of different resources to accomodate my students needs, and believe that communication between myself, my students, parents, and teachers is essential to the student's success. I am a motivator. I don't enjoy boring lectures, and I don't present material in a boring way. I believe tutoring should be interactive, as well as entertaining.
