Fun Facts
I love reading! Everyone in my family is a big reader, and we grew up with books in our hands. I am especially fond of science fiction and fantasy novels. I also grew up reading comic books, so I enjoy watching superhero TV shows and movies. Recently, I have had the opportunity to travel around the world, and I have been to over 20 countries across Europe and Asia.
About Me
I am a certified secondary English teacher in Texas, and I have been teaching and tutoring for the past 10 years. I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2012 with a bachelor's in English Education and minors in math and Spanish and a GPA of 3.75. Since I graduated, I have been teaching abroad for the past few years, but I have recently moved back to Texas to study Spanish translation. After I finish my studies, I would love to be a book translator.
Experience
In high school, I tutored children at my local library and did assistant teaching at a local elementary school. In college, I tutored other students in writing and conducted study sessions in Spanish. During my final year, I did student teaching at a high school in English. After graduating, I moved to Spain and taught ESL at a bilingual elementary school and helped adults prepare for official English exams. Most recently, I taught at at a private English academy in South Korea.
Approach
I have always felt that everyone can achieve their academic goals as long as they are willing to work and put in the effort. Though there are always things that we find difficult, they are surmountable, but sometimes we just need someone to show us that it is possible. I like to teach students learning strategies that fit the way they think, not simply how to regurgitate facts from a textbook.

I completed a year of student teaching for English in a high school. Also, I have been teaching ESL for three years abroad.
